Atlanta Houses: Watercolor Portraits

About the Project
From a Sketch to a Series
The "Atlanta Houses" series began completely by chance: One afternoon, while walking between Reynoldstown and Cabbagetown, I spotted a wonderfully narrow and unique house. I was inspired to do a quick sketch of it in watercolor.
After sharing the sketch in a local community group, I started receiving requests from people all around Atlanta to paint their own homes. I received requests from Cabbagetown, Grant Park, Decatur, Chamblee and more, and even some requests from other states. This project has grown organically, purely through word-of-mouth, and has become a rewarding way to connect with the city and its residents through the unique character of their homes.
